A 16-year-old student was stabbed by a
fellow student in a school near Milan on Tuesday, part of a
growing wave of violence in Italian schools that has included
the stabbing of a teacher by a student, also near Milan, on
Monday.
The student stabbed at San Donato Milanese was taken to hospital
in cod red, the highest danger condition.
He was said to have suffered a major haemorrhage after being
stabbed in the thigh.
Meanwhile the 17-year-old student who stabbed the teacher in the
back at Varese Monday, slightly injuring her, was said to have
acted in a fit of pique at a bad mark, local sources said
Tuesday.
Despite the slight injury, the family of the 57-year-old
teacher, Sara Campiglio, told reporters: "he wanted to kill her,
and he could do it again".
