A man found hanging off a guardrail
in Treste Sunday with his hands bound by duct tape and a
blindfold over his eyes was a probable suicide, police said
Monday.
The man has been tentatively identified as B.K., an Iranian
citizen born in Tehran in 1968 and living on the streets in the
northeastern Italian city.
A certificate dated September 10 recommending a psychiatric
evaluation for depression was found in one of his pockets, as
well as a diagnosis of "depressive-anxious syndrome".
