Police on Tuesday cleared a former
cinema in Milan that had been occupied since last Saturday by
university students protesting against the prohibitive rents for
students in the Lombardy capital.
Eleven of the students, who a few days also started camping out
again in protest outside the city universities, were identified.
The building, which once house the Cinema Splendor, was cleared
after the owners complained to police.
Police are assessing the position of the identified students,
judicial sources said.
