Some 300 migrants and refugees
arrived on Lampedusa in seven landings on Monday.
The figures are updated to around 9:45 local time.
One group of 40 people from Ivory Coast, Gambia, Liberia,
Nigeria and Cameroon disembarked at the commercial port after
being rescued by the civil rescue sail boat Nadir.
Another group of 44 people landed autonomously in the same spot.
Following the latest arrivals there were 526 migrants and
refugees in the Lampedusa hotspot, compared to 19 on Sunday
morning.
228 people were due to be transferred off the tiny island by
passenger ferry later in the day.
