The National Research Council (CNR)
and the national workplace accident and illness insurance agency
Inail have developed a heat stress forecasting system for the
initial screening of risks to outdoor workers engaged in
moderate or intense physical activity across the country.
The maps, developed under the project "Worklimate 2.0"
monitoring the impact of environmental thermal stress on
workers' health and productivity, show a three-day heat stress
risk forecast at four time intervals during the day: 8:00,
12:00, 16:00 and 20:00 CET.
The danger scale for workers ranges from green, involving no
risk, to red, the highest level, via yellow and orange, which
indicate low and moderate risk respectively.
The forecasts are accessible by location on the website
www.worklimate.it.
