The Spring equinox will bring
fast-moving storms to Italy, Antonio Sanò of the website
www.iLMeteo.it said Monday.
A European weather front will affect northern Italian regions,
he said, while the Mediterranean basin will start to be
influenced by a warm tropical flow from Africa.
After an equinox late Monday and early Tuesday with swift storms
brought by a vortex moving across Italy, Spring will break out
across Italy but will not be wholly stable and sunny, said Sanò.
Rain and brief storms will affect central regions and Romagna
Monday, moving into the south Tuesday while fog will return to
the Po Valley.
The rest of the week should see a typically Spring-like heat
across much of the country, with mild temperatures for the time
of year and stable conditions in the centre and south.
There will be isolated showers, typical of the period, while
temperatures in the north and Tyrrhenian regions will rise as
high as 20°-22°C.
