Three people were arrested Tuesday
after a 'foreign' woman shopkeeper was attacked in her home,
brutally beaten, and forced to hand over that day's proceeds of
over 20,000 euros in Florence on January 9, police said Tuesday.
Those arrested are two Albanian brothers aged 25 and 40, and a
45-year-old Romanian woman charged with acting as look-out for
the pair.
The victim was repeatedly punched and one of the brothers
stabbed her in the hand, police said.
Police viewed CCTV and managed to track the alleged gang to a
flat in Florence's Le Cure district where they found over 13,000
in cash and a backpack containing burglary tools.
