(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 2 - Four dockers were arrested Thursday in
connection with a huge drugs shipment hidden in coffee beans in
the port of Genoa a year ago, local sources said.
Those arrested are an employee of mixed goods workers company
CULMV and three port workers, police said.
They were named as Massimo Malinconico, Alberto Pinto, Natale
Giuliano and Rocco Lazzaro.
Police are searching homes and offices in Genoa, Rome and Reggio
Calabria.
The four have been charged with drug trafficking.
The shipment of cocaine, weighing some 435 kg, was found on the
'mystery ship' MSCS Adelaide where a sailor with his throat cut
was also found.
The ship had come from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
The drugs, hidden behind bags of coffee beans, had a street
value of some 30 million euros, police said. (ANSA).
