(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 2 - Rome public utilities and power
company ACEA said Thursday it had been hit by a hacker attack
earlier in the day but that its essential services had not been
affected.
ACEA said that that it had suffered "today a hacker attack that
is not, however, impacting on the essential services provided to
users, i.e. the distribution of water and electricity, thanks to
the prompt management of the problem with the National
Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) and the Postal Police's Computer
Crime Centre".
From the attack, ACEA added, "the company's internal IT services
are at the moment partially affected for the necessary analysis
and control activities".
There had been "no impact", the company reiterated, on users.
