In the week of 13-19 January 2023
there were 51,897 new positive COVID-19 cases in Italy with a
change of -38.3% compared to the previous week (when there were
84,076), the health ministry said in its weekly report Friday.
Italy saw 495 deaths with a change of -14.1% compared to the
previous week (when there were 576), the survey said.
There were 687,233 swabs with a change of -10.5% from the
previous week (when there were 767,718).
The latest positivity rate was 7.6% with a variation of -3.4%
compared to the previous week (11.0%).
