Italian police on Thursday arrested
four people on suspicion of committing insurance fraud, police
sources said.
Four A&E doctors are also involved in the probe.
They have been suspended from duty for periods ranging between
six and 12 months, police said.
Those arrested have been charged with criminal association,
insurance fraud, and corruption.
Carabinieri from the Operatiional Unit of the Rome Centre
Company notified the measure of house arrest for the four
people.
Those probed are believed to have paid the doctors to sign false
certificates so clients could obtain insurance payments, police
said.
