The new COVID-19 Gryphon variant that
originated in China is at 2% in Italy and its rate is stable,
the Higher Health Institute (ISS) said in its monthly assessment
of new variants Friday.
In Italy, at the moment, the sequences present in the Icogen
platform related to the XBB variant named Gryphon, which has
probably contributed to the explosion of Covid cases in China,
amount to 2% of the total, a value that is substantially stable
