Two people were killed and two injured
after a boat hit rocks at La Maddalena in Sardinia Tuesday
evening, local sources said.
The victims, 38-year-old Tommy Di Chello, owner of a gardening
company at Golfo Aranci, and Giacomo Botte, 35, from Naples,
were killed instantly when the boat hit the rocks at the Isola
delle Bisce island, south of Caprera.
Earlier in the day in the same area a boat hit rocks critically
injuring a 16-year-old boy and seriously hurting his 24-year-old
cousin.
The boy is fighting for his life in a Sassari hospital after the
accident at Punta Tegge, at La Maddalena.
The accidents involved boats which had been fishing in the area,
police said.
