There have been 45,225 new cases of
COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, and 43 more victims with
the virus, the health ministry said Wednesday.
That compares to 58,885 new cases and 60 more victims Tuesday.
Some 224,969 more tests have been done, compared to 293,096
Tuesday.
The positivity rate is steady at 20.1%.
Intensive care cases are up 16 to 171 and hospital admissions up
259 to 5,073.
The recovered and discharged are 21,961,023, up on Tuesday.
The currently positive are 509,740.
The case tally since the start of the pandemic is 22,648,063,
and the death toll 177,300.
