Italians will be asked to lower their
central heating by one degree and turn it off for an hour more
every day starting in October to help cope with the energy
crisis, Ecological Transition Minister Roberto Cingolani said
Thursday.
In outlying the energy saving plan, Cingolani ruled out
returning to distance learning to save energy.
Italians are facing a huge energy squeeze amid spiralling power
prices due to the Ukraine war and Russian 'gas blackmail'.
