A 77-year-old woman of Molise origin
was killed at her home in Argentina on Thursday, sources among
her relatives in Molise said Tuesday.
Emilia Carlomagno, from Agnone near Isernia, was found with her
hands and feet tied on her bed after succumbing to smoke
inhalation in a fire that destroyed her house.
Police have opened a murder probe into the death of the
pensioner, who lived alone.
They said they were following all leads.
Argentinian media showed footage of her building engulfed in
flames.
An autopsy has been ordered.
