There have been 24,267 new cases of
COVID-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, and 66 more victims of
the virus, the health ministry said Tuesday.
That compares to 7,537 new cases and 62 more victims Monday.
Some 242,060 more tests have been done, compared to 80,177
Monday.
The positivity rate is up from 9.4% to 10.03%.
Intensive care cases are down seven to 248, and hospital
admissions down 160 to 5,121.
The currently positive are 679,394, down 19,467 on Monday.
The recovered and discharged are 16,575,319, up 44,088 on
Monday.
The case tally since the start of the pandemic is 17,421,410,
and the death toll 166,697.
