Some 40,000 refugee children have
arrived in Italy after fleeing the Russian invasion of their
country, Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said Wednesday.
That is out of a total of 120,000 arrivals in the three months
of the Russia-Ukraine war, he said.
The foreign ministry in Rome has set up a body to handle
Ukrainian minors' issues, Di Maio added.
