Italian police on Tuesday broke up a
teen gang in Arezzo accused of carrying out a string of
robberies and physical assaults using knives, broken bottles and
knuckle dusters between 2021 and 2022.
The nine alleged gang members were aged between 16 and 17,
police said.
Six of them have been arrested and detained in prison while the
other three have been taken to homes.
They have all been charged with conspiracy to commit crimes,
extortion, resisting arrest and drug pushing.
Police said the alleged gang "functioned like an organized crime
unit" and the members called it the Montana Family, after Al
Pacino's character in the film Scarface.
