Nationalistic exaltation causes huge
damage, President Sergio Mattarella said in a message to the
general assembly of ACA-Europe Monday, a European association
composed of the Court of Justice of the European Union as well
as the Councils of State and the Supreme administrative
jurisdictions of each of the members of the European Union.
"Talking, dialogue, and cooperation are always instruments of
building peace and the well-being of peoples," he said.
"On the contrary, isolation, nationalist exaltation, and
barriers put up against the exercise of fundamental rights, fuel
mistrust and tensions, generate conflict, and produce huge
damage to the destiny of people and territories."
