An Italian motorist who ran over and
killed a five-year-old Ukrainian refugee girl in southern Italy
on March 20 was remanded in custody in jail Friday.
Giuseppe Pio De Fazio, 18, was at the wheel of his father's car
and without a license when he ran over three pedestrians in the
Calabrian city of Crotone, killing the girl.
He has been charged with vehicular homicide and attempted
homicide.
A judge on Friday rejected a request for house arrest.
