A 47-year-old Bulgarian man was
arrested Thursday for pulling the emergency brake on northern
Italian commuter trains around 100 times, judicial source said.
The 'man who stopped the trains' is now in a Genoa jail.
"He had become a nightmare for commuters in Liguria, Piedmont
and Lombardy", said police.
The man allegedly pulled brakes in several carriages and also
broke train windows with work tools, police said.
His last stunt came two nights ago on a train travelling from
Piedmont to Genoa, police said.
The man also forced a plane to turn back and land at Bergamo's
Orio al Serio airport after getting drunk and trying to find an
emergency brake, apparently thinking he was on a train, police
said.
