Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala said Friday
he was enraged at the "disgraceful" images of hundreds of young
people gathering for an aperitif at bars in the northern city's
trendy Navigli area Thursday evening.
Sala threatened to close the area and stop people taking away
food and drink from bars and restaurants altogether "unless
things change".
"It is an ultimatum", he said.
People, mostly young, gathered at the Navigli and took out
aperitifs to drink at tables in the area, most of them without
wearing facemasks.
