The government on Friday
launched a national strategic plan that will halt the use of
coal by 2025 and have five million electric cars on Italy's
roads by 2030, Environment Minister Gianluca Galletti said.
Industry Minister Caro Calenda called for local authorities
across the country to cooperate.
"We can't afford to start working on an accelerated process
and then have regional governments and town councils that block
all infrastructure in Italy," he warned.
