The fast-track trial of an Italian
teen accused of complicity in the murder of her parents last
November opened in front of a juvenile court on Tuesday.
Fabio Giacconi, a non-commissioned Italian Air Force
officer, and his wife Roberta Pierini, both died after their
daughter's boyfriend Antonio Tagliata shot them on November 7.
Tagliata has said his girlfriend, who has not been named
because of her age, hatched the plan to murder her parents, who
were against their relationship. The girl, who has previously
pinned the blame on him, is due to explain her version of events
in court.
According to a psychologist's report, the teen showed signs
of strong psychological conditioning in the period leading up to
the murder.
