The unseasonably warm spell
most of Italy has enjoyed since August is set to end, weather
men said Tuesday.
A polar system will sweep down from the northeast over the
next few days, bringing gales and thunderstorms, they said.
The northwest, hit by flooding recently, will also have a
fresh bout of rain.
A flood alert has been announced for the south of the
northeastern Friuli region Tuesday night.
