A 62-year-old man was arrested
Monday for insurance fraud after police said they found his home
had become a printing shop, churning out false auto insurance
policies.
Giovanni Farinola, a former insurance agent, is accused of
selling fake insurance policies to customers who said they paid
premiums but learned they were not actually covered.
Another 17 people are being investigated by finance police
on related allegations of faking auto accidents to collect as
much as 120,000 euros in insurance.
Two orthopedic surgeons have also been implicated.
