Cibus is Italy sums up Expo experience

Format combining shows, tastings and meetings to be replicated

(ANSA) - Milan, October 28 - Organisers at the Cibus is Italy pavilion at Expo dedicated to Made in Italy food products summed up their experience at the six-month Universal Exposition on Wednesday and set out the plans for the future.
"The image of Italian food manufacturing that we have given the world is one of an industry that is united in all its parts - farming, processing, and distribution - and able to overcome ancient rivalries," Italian food producers association FederAlimentare President Luigi Scordamaglia said.
"It is a model of cooperation that will allow us to be more competitive on the national and international stage, thanks also to the government that has given unprecedented support to the food industry by putting it at the centre of its policies to relaunch the country," he said. The format used by the Cibus is Italy pavilion combining food shows and tastings, conferences and business meetings will now be used in other trade fairs in Italy and abroad, FederAlimentare said.
