Support for Italian exports is a
priority for the government, Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister
Antonio Tajani said on Thursday.
Speaking at a meeting with representatives of Italy's foreign
trade agency ICE, state investment company Cassa Depositi e
Prestiti and its subsidiary Simest and insurance company Sace,
Tajani reiterated the importance for the government of
"diplomacy for growth", including through the organization of
targeted business forums during missions abroad.
The aim, he said, is to promote Made in Italy "through measures
to support Italian companies, including subsidized finance, in
favor of the trade fair sector and those related to e-commerce
and digitalization".
The meeting came ahead of the announced presentation to cabinet
next week of a draft framework law on Made in Italy, including
provisions to establish a sovereign wealth fund, a 'Made in
Italy' high school and a national Made in Italy day on April 15.
