The Bank of Italy on Thursday
confirmed its estimate of GDP growth of 0.6% this year and
trimmed its 2025 forecast from 1% in April to 0.9% and from 1.2%
to 1.1% for 2026.
Without taking into account the correction for working days,
this year's growth would be 0.8%, next year's also 0.8%, and
2026's 1.2%, said the central bank.
Inflation is set to be 1.1% in 2024 (down from April's estimate
of 1.3%), and just above 1.5% in the next two years, said the
BoI.
