Italy's airports welcomed a record
197.2 million passengers in 2023, the Assaeroporti association
said on Wednesday.
The airport association said that figure was 2.1% above the
previous record set before the COVID pandemic in 2019.
It said 128 million of the passengers regarded international
flights.
It said Rome's Fiumicino airport was top with 40.5 million
passengers.
It was followed by Milan Malpensa with 26.1 million, Bergamo
with 16 million, Naples with 12.4 million, Venice with 11.3
million, Catania with 10.7 million, Bologna with 10 million,
Milan Linate with 9.4 million, Palermo with 8.1 and Bari with
6.5 million.
