ANSA has continued to expand its network of international collaborations with news agencies around the world with the signing of a new partnership with the Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
The agreement makes it possible for the two news agencies to exchange contents and develop joint commercial offers to support the communications of the institutions and companies of the respective countries.
The cooperation agreement was signed - in the presence of Italian Ambassador to Manama Paola Amadei, Bahrain Information Minister Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi and Bahrain Charge d'Affaires in Italy Talal Faisal Al Hamar - via video link by the Director General of the Bahrain agency Khalil Buheji and ANSA CEO Stefano De Alessandri.
"The signing of this agreement falls within the framework of close relations of friendship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Italy and the two countries' intention to further develop them in order to support common interests," said Minister Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, adding he hoped for the "success of cooperation between the two countries in the news field".
Ambassador Paola Amadei said she was "honoured to have witnessed the signing of the memorandum of agreement between BNA and ANSA, which comes withing the framework of excellent relations between Italy and Bahrain.
"Guaranteeing accurate, speedy and reliable news is of fundamental importance for every sector of society, from business to leisure, science and security," she observed.
"I would like to express my sincerest best wishes to both ANSA and BNA for the work they will do together and my most heart-felt appreciation of the extraordinary commitment made in creating this memorandum.
"I am certain that Italy and Bahrain will further develop their cooperation in the various sectors of common interest," added the ambassador, expressing confidence that cooperation in the media field between the two countries will help lead to a qualitative leap forward in bilateral relations.
BNA Director General Buheji expressed sincere gratitude to the Information Minister for the continued support given to the agency, highlighting how the signing of the memorandum with ANSA was part of an effort to strengthen cooperation with prestigious international news agencies.
Buheji then stressed that "the signing of the agreement with ANSA will open new cooperation horizons" ANSA CEO De Alessandri expressed satisfaction about the agreement, stressing how the cooperation between the news agencies will make it possible to enrich the coverage of the respective countries and develop commercial collaborations to support the communications of Bahraini and Italian companies and institutions.
Bahrain Charge d'Affaires in Italy Talal Faisal Al Hamar called the agreement between the two agencies "an important media instrument to promote better public knowledge of the growth and developments taking place in these two friend nations.
"This flow of information between the two agencies will contribute to increasing reciprocal awareness of the results achieved by our countries in the fields of culture, history, politics and business," added Talal Faisal Al Hamar.
