Poste Italiane posted record
operating income of 2.3 billion euros in 2022, up 24% over the
previous year, the group said on Thursday.
This is "more than double the 2017 level, continuing the
significant growth trajectory" with "normalized positive
contributions from all business sectors."
Net income is 1.51 billion euros, down 4.3% from 2021.
Revenue grew by 6% to 11.9 billion and the proposed dividend by
10% to 0.65 euros per share.
The "solid results" confirm "solid foundations for future
growth", said Poste Italiane CEO Matteo Del Fante.
"Looking ahead to 2023, we expect favorable business trends to
outweigh the effect of inflation on costs.
We believe our targets are achievable under a variety of market
conditions and are supported by the strong business progress to
date," he added.
