It said the unemployment rate for under-25s who are active on
the labour market fell to 22.1%.
ISTAT said the number of people in employment rose by 37,000 on
November and by 334,000 compared to December 2021.
It said this took the employment rate for people aged 15-to-64

statistical series in 2004.
The agency said the proportion of 15-to-64-year-olds who are not
active on the labour market dropped by 0.1% of a percentage
