The interest rates on Italian
mortgages increased further in November following the recent
rate hikes of the European Central Bank (ECB), the Bank of Italy
said on Wednesday.
It said that average annual mortgage interest rate was 3.55% in
November, up from 3.23% in October.
It said the annual rate on new consumer credit went from 8.93%
to 9.25%.
The Bank of Italy said interest rates for loans to non-financial
businesses climbed to 2.94% from 2.54.
