Eni on Friday posted 9-month profits
up 311% to 10.8 billion euros.
Third quarter profits were 161% up at 3.73 billion, said the
fuels giant.
The group's adjusted third quarter EBITDA was up 132% to 5.77
billion while the nine-month figure was 187% up at 16.8 billion.
Eni said its Italian operations lost a billion euros in the
first nine months of the year.
Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi said "already from the coming winter
we will be able to replace 50% of Russian gas flows leveraging
our ample and diversified reserves portfolio as well as long
term partnerships with producer countries and our growing
presence in the GPL business".
