Italy's average electrical power
price for Friday rose to a record 718 euro per MWh.
That compares to Thursday's 614.76 euros and the previous high
of 637.76 euros on Wednesday, the energy market manager said.
Average prices will peak Friday at 734.7 euros per MWh at peak
consumption times, he said.
Prices will range from a maximum of 800 euros at nine a.m. to a
minimum of 702.74 at off-peak hours and an even lower minimum of
just over 600 between four and five a.m., said the manager.
Italian energy prices have been spiralling upwards amid the
Ukraine war.
The government has taken various steps to curb price rises.
