The IMF said Tuesday that it has
increased its 2022 GDP growth forecast for Italy to 3% and cut
its 2023 projection to 0.7%.
In the first case, that is an increase of 0.7 of a percentage
point with respect to the forecast it made in April, while it is
a reduction of one percentage point for next year.
Italy is the only G7 country that has seen its growth forecast
for 2022 rise.
The IMF said the risks of a global recession had increased.
