Deputy Premier and Industry and
Labour Minister Luigi Di Maio exited a industry ministry meeting
on Alitalia Tuesday saying "we have squared the circle" on the
future of the ailing former flag carrier.
Di Maio was speaking after talks with Premier Giuseppe Conte,
Economy Minister Giovanni Tria, Transport Minister Danilo
Toninelli and Interior Minister and Deputy Premier Matteo
Salvini.
He said a planned partnership with the Ferrovie dello Stato
(FS) rail group was "the starting point, investors are arriving
because we have very important contacts and there are very many
(companies) interested in Alitalia".
