Italy is "at the forefront" for
renewable energy, Premier Matteo Renzi said at a press
conference with energy companies ENI, ENEL and TERNA Thursday.
"I'd like the message to Italians to be clear: the best
technologies and competence on renewables are in Italian
companies," Renzi said. He said "the customary moaning that
we're not in the forefront for renewables must end. We are in
the lead on digital counters, innovation and the management of
the future of energy. We should be proud of what we are doing".
Renzi was presenting a number of moves to boost the
renewable-energy sector in Italy.
