The spread between Italy's
benchmark 10-year bond and its German counterpart was stable at
141.6 basis points Thursday morning.
The spread, which is often read as a measure of confidence
in the Italian economy, was slightly narrower than Wednesday's
close of 142 basis points.
The rate on Italy's 10-year bond remained at a record low
of 2.14% where it has hovered most of this week.
