Ethical agriculture in Italy is worth 30 billion euros a year, the Confederation of Italian Farmers (CIA) said Thursday.
The turnover comes from direct sales, tourism and related activities, CIA President Dino Scanavino told the Salone del Gusto food fair in Turin.
In addition, at least four million Italian consumers ask stores to carry products that respect geographical proximity, health concerns, and traditions, Scanavino added.
