Some seven billion building sites in
Italy are at a standstill with the risk of creating countless
"urban skeletons", national building contractors group ANCA said
Tuesday.
"The biggest indictment of public squandering in recent years
has been the 110% (green home improvement) Superbonus but only
the negative aspects of a measure that in the two-year period
2021-2022 has allowed Italy to grow at a higher rate than China,
(+12.3% GDP against their +11.3%) have been highlighted", said
ANCE President Federica Brancaccio.
Speaking at its the annual general meeting, she warned that
"there are already 7 billion worth of stopped works that risk
leaving urban skeletons".
Brancaccio also said that "the (EU's) green home directive
offers opportunities that we must grasp without fear".
