Poste Italiane post-office company on
Wednesday posted first quarter net profits 16% up at 501 million
euro.
Its Q1 revenues were 6.1% up at 3.05 billion compared to the
same period last year.
The company emphasised the "substantial growth in operating
profit in Q1 2024, up 14% year-on-year to 706 million, thanks to
the diversified business model.
"It has been a very positive start to the year," commented CEO
Matteo De Fante.
"These results demonstrate how we are implementing our plan
rigorously, with a continuous focus on achieving commercial
results and rationalising costs.
"Commercial trends have been favourable in all areas".
