Italian anti-gay general Roberto
Vannucci said Saturday his conscience was clear regarding an
investigation into alleged embezzlement and fraud during his
time as military attaché in Moscow and he would address the
probe in the appropriate fora.
"I don't talk about service matters with the press. I am very
serene and will report in the appropriate venues", the
55-year-old former paratrooper and bestselling author told ANSA.
A ministerial inspection on his period of service in the Russian
capital reportedly turned up a number of alleged irregularities
regarding expenses and income from non-existent parties and
events, among other things, Saturday's Corriere della Sera
reported.
