The government is set to bring in tax
relief for smaller-scale Italian farmers, Carlo Fidanza, the
head of the delegation Premier Giorgia Meloni's Brothers of
Italy (FdI) party in the European Parliament, said on Friday as
farmers continue to protest against the hardship they say they
face in many parts of Europe.
"I think the government will intervene soon," Fidanza told Rai
television.
He said the move would seen only large-scale farmers having to
pay the Irpef income tax.
