The government is mulling introducing
incentives to encourage Italians to buy electric cars that start
from 6,000 euros and go up to 13,750 euros if you scrap a Euro2
car and have an Isee means test under 30,000 euros a year,
according to a document seen by ANSA Tuesday.
The possible aid for the purchase of a hybrid car ranges from 4
to 10,000 euro, and that for a low-emission car from 1,500 to
3,000 euro.
According to the working draft, the government aims to use
resources of 930 million, including 570 million of new
automotive funds, and the rest from the amount left over from
previous incentives.
The mooted intervention also concerns commercial vehicles, taxis
and long-term rentals.
