Prevention measures against possible
terror attacks in Italy have been bolstered after Saturday's
surprise Hams attack on Israel, the interior ministry said
Tuesday.
The Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, today chaired
the National Committee for Public Order and Security at the
Viminale for an analysis of the possible threats related to the
serious crisis in the Middle East.
During the meeting, the ministry informs, 'as a result of an
articulated assessment of the risk profiles, the raising of the
level of attention towards every possible target and a
strengthening of prevention measures on the territory were
ordered'. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the
Interior Nicola Molteni, the heads of the police forces and
those of the security agencies.
