The Council of State on Monday ended
Juventus's bid to get back the Serie A title stripped due to the
Calciopoli match-fixing scandal, definitively handing the
scudetto to Inter Milan.
Italy's highest administrative court rejected Juve's appeal
against the Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC), Inter and the
Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) .
The ruling came as the last link in a chain of legal challenges
to the decision of the extraordinary commissioner of the Italian
Football Federation, Guido Rossi, who awarded Inter the title in
2006, after it had remained vacant following the decisions of
the sporting justice system over the Calciopoli scandal.
