A large fire broke out in central
Milan after a van exploded on Thursday.
The fire, on the corner of Via Pier Lombardo and Via Vasari, has
involved four other vehicles and nearby buildings.
One person said to be the driver of the van was reported to have
received burns to the hand.
One building and a nursery school were evacuated.
Local police said the incident may have been triggered by the
explosion of oxygen tanks inside the van.
The oxgyen tanks were reportedly due to be delivered to a
pharmacy, which also caught fire.
